Please take the time to learn a little about me.

I was born in Berwyn, Illinois to Judith Marie and Emil Frank Kratochvil (deceased) and have a younger brother, Nicholas Emil Kratochvil. I grew up in Berwyn until the age of 13 when I became a Department of Children and Family Services ward. I started this part of my life in Chicago Heights at Aunt Martha's, a group home. Then I was transferred to Maryville Academy and lived in Des Plaines and Bartlett. I learned to survive despite the hard circumstances while in this situation. From this I also learned that everyone, regardless of background deserves to have a voice. I overcame many obstacles adn learned that if one applies themselves anything can be achieved. Icurrently live in Chicago but plan to move to Raleigh, North Carolina in a few years.

Air Force Cadet

Air Force

My oddesy with the Air Force was four years long. It began in 1998 when I applied to be a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. However, my bid as a cadet fell short because my academic record was not good enough. I tried to enlist by talking to a recruiter. I also joinen Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 195 in order to prepsre for Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base,Texas. This entire process took two years, icluding a reccommendation from the Commandant of Cadets, to recieve word that I was disqualified. As a cadet I held three corps positions: Publications Representitive, Supply Representative, and Military Ball Representative and earned a Recruiting Ribbon for assisting in the recruitment of 60 new cadets. I also joined Arnold Air Society and was the Puclic Affairs Officer and attained the rank of Cadet First Lieutenant in the Col. Francis Scobee Squadron as well as Mach 4 and the Reserve Officer Assoociation. I plan to start a chapter of Silver Wings Society. I was a special student in ROTC through 2003 Autumn.

I volunteeer at the Chicagoland Air and Water Show every summer at the Air Force recruting tent. I earned a Certificate of Appreciation from Air Force Recruiting Service.
